Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 19, 2026
New Connections Inc. ("New Connections," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Contact information you provide, such as your name, phone number, and email address.
- Information related to your care and appointments that you or your provider share with us.
- Records of your communications with us, including text messages you send or receive.
How we use your information
- To provide, coordinate, and follow up on your care and appointments.
- To send you appointment reminders and care-related communications you have consented to.
- To respond to your questions and requests.
- To meet our legal, regulatory, and healthcare compliance obligations.
Protected health information
As a healthcare provider, New Connections maintains the confidentiality of your protected health information in accordance with applicable law, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and federal confidentiality rules for substance use disorder records (42 CFR Part 2). We use appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information.
SMS / text messaging
New Connections offers appointment reminders and care-related text messages to clients who opt in. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your SMS opt-in information with any third parties or affiliates for any purpose, except as required to deliver the messages you requested (for example, our messaging service provider) or as required by law.
You provide consent to receive text messages by signing a written consent form during intake. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving treatment or services. If you opt out, you will stop receiving text messages but will continue to receive care through other means.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate (such as our secure electronic health record and messaging providers), with your care team, or when required by law. Mobile opt-in data and phone numbers are never shared with third parties for their own marketing.
Data security
We maintain reasonable safeguards designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information consistent with applicable law.
Your choices
- You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP.
- You may contact us to update your contact information or ask about your records.
